"Before coming to this world, all the demi-Gods got together and told her: 'Elke, your mission in this world is to be happy and be loved by all kinds of people. You will also experience a little bit of everything. Can you handle it?' Then she replied: 'Of course, my dear children!!'" Russian born Elke Grunupp, daughter of Liezelotte Von Sonden and George Grunupp, she came to Brazil at the age of six, before spending time in Germany, France and Greece. Worked in farms during her teen ages and later on became a fashion model. Started working in television in 1972, and changed her name to Elke Maravilha,

which means Elke "Wounderful". Since then she became one of the most recognizable faces in Brazilian television, appearing in hundreds of talk shows, games, soap operas and musicals. She has also appeared in a number of great movies and theatre plays, which made her one of the most versatile performers of our history. Fluent in eight languages, her extravagant looks and attitude became her trademark. A mix of everything artistic and cosmic, sanity and crazyness, sacred and profane.  Unique and visionary, Elke is dream and reality altogether. She is the Goddess of Art and Love.
