Be afraid...be very afraid.

As of today {12-05-01} while writing this I'm *50*. Yes that says 50. I'm sure at least one person will read that and think "Old bats still think about sex"?

Well let me tell you children this: being 50 has some definite advantages. You know who you are and what you want and yes you do still think about sex.

I began writing in high school with a friend. We did most of it over the phone. My parents thought the phone would grow to my ear. She recently contacted me and told me she had cleaned it up and it got through three reading at Harlequin. I have no clue what that means and don't even remember what the story was about.

Being a southern girl of the old school I married before graduation and had my first offspring (a girl) three months after turning eighteen. My son was born two years later and writing was sort of put on hold.

Two years ago I inherited a dinosaur of a computer, discovered fan fiction, and in July of last year tried my hand at writing again.

It was a Skinner, Scully, Mulder story that will be on this site as soon as I clean it up a little. Skinner because I fell in love with him in Avatar. Scully because I was still in denial about my whole slasher side, and Mulder just cause that slasher side was probably trying to take control.

Did I mention that I'm a Gemini?

Since I enjoyed the slash aspects more I tried a Skinner Mulder story. This may surprise you since this site is heavily Skinner Krycek.

Well let me 'splain it. I got nominated for two Wirerim awards. I see you scratching your head. I wanted to vote, so I started reading the stuff that had been nominated. Even the Skinner Krycek stuff. I had always thought he was prettier than Mulder and I like bad boys and....It's all Josan's fault. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Then one day I was writing this little snippet that was just supposed to be a take off on the 'death by auto erotic strangulation' in one of the episodes. I thought it was finished when suddenly I'm writing...

[There's a loud, throat-clearing sound from the doorway. Turning, I see my other lover standing there sporting a morning hard-on. I guess we woke him.]

Suddenly I wasn't in control. This was my first real experience with the muse taking over. The muse got fed and the next thing I know I'm writing a totally Skinner Krycek piece. I sent the first four or five pages to Josan to ask her opinion.

She sent it back betaed and said a couple of nice things and before I know what is happening she has me up to thirty-one pages. That was not quite a year ago and the boys have talked to me a lot since then. Especially Skinner and Krycek.

Guess I should have given you some personal stuff huh. I mean beside the 50 thing and the two kids thing.

Basics:

I'm single and living in the Dallas area.

Currently un-employed. I was laid off after sixteen years with the same company.

I am currently owned by my fourth Dalmatian {hence the design of this page} named Rita. All my pets are named for Beatles songs.

Oh and my cousin's trace of the family tree has revealed we are related to someone who walked away from the OK Corral.
