A photo of all eight sisters was printed in the
South Wales Weekly Argus October 16th, 1948.
There were only seven sisters in the original
photo. The newspaper "pasted in" the eighth
sister between the first and second sister in
the back row on the left.
A note on the back of the original photo said
"the photo was taken when Rose was home
(from South Africa) and Delia (the eighth sister)
was sick in bed." The sisters were born in or
near Cwmbran just north of Newport, Wales.
