Invasion of body and mind

1. NO option to refuse the reception of advertisements on buses.

(Forced to dodge)
Invasion of bodies:
Riders are, while on board a public bus in Hong Kong, constantly bombarded with sound and light radiation sent out by the audio-visual systems.

(Forced to cover eyes)
Invasion of minds:

Riders' minds while on board a public bus in Hong Kong are forced to put into operation as signals from those AV systems keep bombarding their auditory & visual systems non-stop.

Stripping our heaven-given freedom to choose
By sly design and clever layout of AV systems on board public buses, riders are stripped of their heaven-given freedom to choose.

NO On-Off Switch
First bus companies steal our power to make the choice of not listening to their shows; unlike the case of TV broadcast where we could simply turn off the set.

NO REMOTE CONTROL
Second no matter whether we like these shows or not, we will have to swallow them during the bus ride. For those who endure the show to take place, they still do not have the power to choose; unlike TV broadcast we receive at home.

NO option not to be bothered
Third why do riders have to be put into such a situation of constantly debating whether and how to reject those messages in the first place.

2. Interference with riders' freedom to conduct his affairs such as:

  • reading
  • taking a nap
  • conversation
  • meditating
  • praying
  • thinking
  • reviewing school work
  • etc ...
By forcing riders to watch and listen to their broadcast, bus operators, advertisers, writers, spokespersons are violating riders' rights to freedom of choice.
