An appeal to you for action to set aside inside compartment of public buses as a No Broadcast Zone (NBZ).

Invitation
We extend this invitation to you to join the campaign, “Stop Bus Spam - Protect Hong Kong Children” to combat Bus Spam (unsolicited audio-visual broadcast on public buses)

The problem
The unilateral introduction on public buses in Hong Kong of Bus Spam without giving riders the real option to decline has infringed upon the riders’ freedom to choose and has subjected riders to determination of bus companies and has caused:

  • 2.5 million bus riders to be compelled to view Bus Spam every day;
  • a daily enslavement rate of 41% in Hong Kong, and
  • the shortening of each rider’s life by 7.2 years, and
  • for each rider, an economic loss of $2,160,000,
  • and sons and daughters of Hong Kong residents to be mind-tuned by bus advertisers on their way to school

And on their way to school, children of Hong Kong:

  • were shown movies not suitable for them,
  • were flashed with obscenity,
  • were bombarded with violence,
  • were indoctrinated by superstition,
  • were brainwashed with messages aimed at setting their preferences and values for life.

Campaign Purpose
Purpose of this campaign is aimed at protecting the children of Hong Kong from harms caused by exposure to Bus Spam.
